I have been tagged!

What does that mean???  I wondered as I read my friend’s blog..my insightful, inspirational friend, who is good and always reminds me to be a better person.  Anyway, she tagged me with a blog thing that asks questions about who you are….I do not know yet if I know that answer, but I will try and answer those questions as best I can for where I am at right now….blessed…with my girls, my husband, my friends, my hobbies..and faith that we all have a plan for our "blink" at life.

I wish….the children I work with could talk, run, walk, play, live like all other little children.  I also wish that my girls would never hate me when they become teenagers…it scares me…really.

I hate…yikes, what a strong word, I do not like it.  I have had to tell Ella lately that "hate" is a very strong word and it is better to say that you "do not like instead of hate."  So I guess I dislike misplaced anger, misplaced judgement, a messy house, when Ella does not listen

I fear….not savoring every moment with my children…forgeting how they are at each age….death before all my dreams….loosing anyone I care for.

I feel…happy and blessed most of the time, but sometimes I can also get frustrated and bitter…hmmm I wonder why it is that I always feel hungry at the same time as frustrated and bitter…

I hear…the humm of the computer and the click of the keyboard…

I miss…highschool, cross country, track, self centeredness, alone time with my husband, time with my mom and dad, the lakes, my friend Kathy, my friend Heather, and being able to eat whatever I want whenever without weighing too much.

I crave…coffee every morning and the summer…come on summer…hurry up!!!!

I regret…hmmm  tough one…there are some, but I will keep them to myself.

I love…my kids, my husband, my friends, running, scrapbooking, good food, good company, pictures, my computer, and good weather.

I ache…for people who do not have love in their lives….children who are hungry and stressed…and my darn hip with my IT band problem…darn bugger will not go away.

I care….about my friends, family, integrity, faith, and learning how to take better pictures.

I always…wake up craving coffee…darnit….

I am not….good at public speaking or very good at being on time (sorry, a really bad flaw)

I believe…that God has a plan for us all.

I dance…. to Hannah Montana with my girls… and to Justin Timberlake with my other girls (you know who you are).

I sing….to Ella and Josie before we go to bed…"you are my sunshine"  and "moon moon moon"  I also sing a lot during therapy sessions and during photo sessions, although I do NOT have a good voice…poor kids.

I cry…Ok, honestly not very much….I am not a huge crier.  And if I do cry I prefer to do it in private.  Usually over being upset with myself or over how much I love my kids, and I always cry at performances..my kids, or other peoples….I just feel like people must feel so proud of their little people…I do not know…I just always cry there????

I fight….almost never…I do not like it.

I write…on my blog and I write lots of IEPs and letters of Medical Justification too.

I never…go hunting or snowmobiling with my mom dad brother and sister…I am kinda the black sheep.

I need…hugs and kisses

I am happy…when I can have good conversation with someone who gets me.

So now I tag PA and MH….MH…I will give you time since you just had a baby.

Bye for now….

My first Senior

Today I branched slightly outside of my comfort zone and tackled my first senior…and the verdict is…I loved it.  It is a whole different ball game to try and capture a senior versus a small child, but "A" made my job easy.  She was seriously probably the nicest teenager I had ever met.  A special thanks to her for all the goofy expressions…from a fellow goofy faced expression person:)  Here is a peak.

We had fun, but it was cold out there.. Here is hoping for warmer days to come.

Rain is not going to stop us!

Today I had the pleasure of taking pictures of an 18 month old boy "N".  When we first started it was raining…I thought it was  a great opportunity to get fun rain/splashing shots.  We were at a park and by the end…dirty..wet…cold.  It was awesome that mom did not mind that her boy was getting all dirty…I loved the shots with him with mud and sand…so appropriate for boy pictures.

Look at the cutie pie…sand all over his hands and soaking wet..

Thanks for playing today mr. "N"…I hope your chills have subsided:)

Meet Azula

I took a couple pictures of my 6 year old cat this weekend.  She has been an 11 year project because I had to beg for 5 years for her from my hubby.  I wore him down and he finally agreed.  Then we had babies and poor Azula has been demoted to house pet status only.  She is a russian blue.

I always like profiles…even of my cat…

Gotta run!

Calling All Scrapbookers!

Hello fellow scrapbookers…this post is just for you.  I am working on a package that will be a scrapbookers dream (OK, that might be a little overly dramatic).   But really this whole thing started with scrapbooking, I love it, it makes sense to pair photography with scrapbooking, and we do live in the digital era now…more to come soon on the package…and there is a fun extra bonus with the package I will be offering with a local business :)

Bye for now….

Happy 5th Birthday Sweetie!

Birthday weekend

Ella had a huge birthday weekend with her actual birthday being tomorrow.  She turns five.  We had two parties this weekend..one for the little girls Ella has befriended along the way and one for relatives.  Ella chose to have a  garden tea party at home for her birthday instead of a bigger community venue so we had to keep the numbers small since it was a drop your child off and leave type of party…It was hard this year because I usually like to invite my friend’s kids, but Ella has made some friends now and she had strong ideas who she wanted to invite.

Here are some of the details…

And the little girls…all dressed up in their prettiest dresses…

We painted flower pots and planted seeds (actually Steve did the planting…the dresses were too pretty)

Josie had fun too…

I like this picture because you can see the smoke coming up from the candle…

It is crazy to me that Ella is turning five.  It feels like we are moving onto the next stage.  She does not feel so much like a toddler, but like a young lady.  She is really maturing..tonight we were shopping and she is saying things like "Josie, you have to stay close to mommy."  Then she spontaneously…without me asking…picked up shoes off the floor and put them back and when we got home she went and got her scooter from outside and brought it into the garage…really amazing!  The time has gone fast and I have to remind myself to enjoy the moments, cherish them, because too soon she will be 13 rolling her eyes at me and then 18 moving out of the house….Scary…I so define myself as a mom…who will I be when she is gone?:(  Ok, back to reality, she is only five now and I still have lots of time to influence and enjoy!  This weekend is another big scrapbooking weekend so I am sure I will be able to reflect then.

I know..the trip…I will get to that too….I was so busy last week getting ready for Ella weekend and dealing with work…I will eventually post more on that too…hopefully tomorrow.

Bye for now…kiss your babies…hug them…love them…let them warm you up from the inside…..
